Sample sounds from NASA's telescope, New Public Domain, SoundCloud on sale
Studio Tool You Need 🎹
Ever wanted to make music with NASA's telescope? Well, now you can, sort of. NASA's Chandra X-ray Center recorded digital data from telescopes and transformed them into notes and sounds. It allows the listener to experience what the telescopes have "seen" by hearing the data. In the video above, the Chandra X-ray Center explains how this process works. Learn more about it and download the files here!
In another video, composer Sophie Kastner created a musical piece using data from around the Supermassive Black Hole in the center of the Milky Way; check it out!

News Story You Should Hear About ⚠️
SoundCloud, the popular music streaming site that has famously launched artists Like Kehlani and Post Malone, is set to be sold this year for over $1B. Insight from company insiders reveals that the decision to sell has been in motion for over a year, and acquisition interest has primarily come from private equity firms.
Founded in 2007, SoundCloud introduced an era of accessible music promotion, giving artists the tools to release and market their music without costly fees and industry backing. The company has recently endeavored to evolve alongside the music industry and dynamic digital landscape, launching SoundCloud for Artists in 2022 and laying off 8% of its workforce last year in a successful attempt to reach profitability for the first time ever.
Under the leadership of the recently appointed CEO, Eliah Seton, and with the departure of the COO and CFO Drew Wilson this year, SoundCloud is on the cusp of a new beginning—one that hopefully prioritizes its unique relationship with internet culture and independent artists.
